Yelets is a very compact city. The City Park has a Ferris wheel and there is a small park for children across the street.

There are a number of churches around Yelets. The great Count's church is one of the most unique of Russia's churches. It was built in the early 1900s and has an Art Nouveau look.

In Kaliningrad the Gothic dome was damaged during the war and has since been under reconstruction.

The tomb of the philosopher Immanuel Kant is located on the outer north side.

The German Bunker Museum was the command post during 1945.

Kaliningrad Art Gallery features local good exhibitions and is located at the cities northern border.


The towns’ museum has some wonderful artefacts.

In Voronezh the fine arts museum there is a collection of Russian paintings and sculptures. It exhibits from pre Bronzed age through to the Soviet era.

St Alexey of Akatov women's monastery was founded in 1674 and is located near the river. If you come either at 7.30am or at 5pm you will be enchanted by the singing of the nuns.
